Here is even MORE information about puppy mills
* Puppy mills have been around for decades
* In a puppy mill, more than half a million puppies are produced in a year.
* Acording to www.dosomething.org, no states have laws against a breeding legally keeping lots of dogs in cages for all their lives, if food, water, and shelter are provided.
* Puppy mill cages are usaully outside so dogs have to live in sometimes, harsh climates.
My goal is to spread the word about puppy mills. As you probably know puppy mills are horrible places that keep dogs so they can have birth to puppies so they can be sold for lots of money. My blog contains information on puppy mills. I have done a lot of research on puppy mills and will continue to work hard on my blog:)

How you can help
Here are some ways you can help stop puppy mills.
- Don't buy a puppy from a pet store. You can find a puppy from a shelter or a qualified breeder. Check out www.puppyfinder.com to search for available puppies at shelters in your area.
- Learn about your state's laws for puppy mills at http://www.animallaw.info/articles/ovuspuppymilltable.htm.
- Donate to your local humane society.
